Difference Between Windows 10 and Windows 11
Taskbar
In Windows 11, the taskbar alignment is centered by default. If you would like to realign it to the left like it was in Windows 10, then you will need to right click in an open location on the taskbar and select “Taskbar Settings”.
Windows 11
Expand the “Taskbar Behaviors” section and next to “Taskbar Alignment” change the selection from “Center” to “Left.”
Windows 11
Context menu
The context menu or “right-click” menu in Windows 11 has a few changes as well. The Windows 11 menu has a more icon focused design, with which several of the functions such as cut or paste now appear only as icons instead of text.

However, if you select the “Show more options” button on the Windows 11 menu, it will open a new menu more like the one found in Windows 10.
Windows 11
Start Menu
The layouts of the start menu are noticeably different from Windows 11. The apps list no longer displays by default. The tiles have been removed and replaced with a pinned apps section. The power, settings, pictures, documents, and profile buttons have either been moved or hidden by default. For starters, the power icon has moved from the bottom left of the start menu to the bottom right. The profile button has been moved from the left middle of the start menu to the bottom left.
Windows 10 / Windows 11
If you want to view the apps list in Windows 11, you will now need to click the “All apps” button in the top right.
Windows 11
If you would like to show the settings, documents, or pictures button again, you will need to first open the start settings menu by either right clicking an empty space on the start menu and selecting the “start settings” button, or by typing “start settings” in the Windows search bar. Once the menu is open, select the “Folders” section, which will open a list of buttons that can be added to the start menu. Toggle whichever you would like to be enabled, and an icon will now appear to the left of the power button on the start menu.
Windows 11
Internet Connection
Connecting to Wi-Fi is similar in Windows 11. However, they have grouped the internet, sound, and battery life into a single panel. What you will need to do is select the new conjoined button, which will expand to show several options. To find the list of available Wi-Fi connections, you will need to click the arrow on the right side of the Wi-Fi button. From there you will select the proper network and connect the same as you have been.
Windows 11
Sound
Adjusting the volume is similar in Windows 11. First, you will need to select the sound icon, which will expand and open a Windows settings panel. The sound can be adjusted via a slider at the bottom of the panel.
