Computer Recommendations
The computer specifications below define a basic laptop or desktop computer that can successfully run Microsoft Office and access all UNOH websites. If you are enrolled in a program that requires a more powerful class of computer (Digital Multimedia, Digital Design, Video Processing, etc.), please consult with your instructor before making your purchase.
A Note on the Limitations of Chromebooks
Chromebooks are not a supported platform for most classes at UNOH. Chromebooks are primarily used for web browsing and can only install a limited number of consumer apps from the Play Store. These devices are not capable of running applications such as Microsoft Office. While you may be able to use the web-based versions of Microsoft Office for some documents on a Chromebook, you may not be able to complete assignments in classes that require more advanced features within Office. UNOH recommends purchasing a PC or Mac instead of a Chromebook.
